We are building a new society of women achieving economic prosperity and personal freedom, while creating social impact.  The Summit ignites a movement centered on building supportive communities, leveraging an entrepreneurial mindset, and access to influential networks to advance women's careers and ventures.

The Summit will also unveil Latinas Think Big expanded efforts and initiatives in building a new society of prosperous women.  An exemplary panel of outstanding career-driven, innovative and entrepreneurial women will join the discussion.  Hosted at Twitter's headquarters in San Francisco, this evening event culminates with a lively networking reception.

SPEAKER BIOS

CATALINA GIRALD is founder and CEO of Naja, a San Francisco-based lingerie company that launched in December 2013 and aims to create luxe-looking undergarments for women at mass-market prices. Girald launched Naja with $100,000 and says her lingerie is for "women who aren't afraid to speak their minds." Girald was an attorney before pursuing her MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, class of 2006.

KIMBERLY BRYANT  is the Founder and Executive Director of Black Girls CODE, a non-profit organization dedicated to “changing the face of technology” by introducing girls of color (ages 7-17) to the field of technology and computer science with a concentration on entrepreneurial concepts. Kimberly has enjoyed a successful 25+ year professional career in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries as an Engineering Manager in a series of technical leadership roles for various Fortune 100 companies such as Genentech, Merck, and Pfizer. Since 2011 Kimberly has helped Black Girls CODE grow from a local organization serving only the Bay Area, to an international organization with seven chapters across the U.S. and in Johannesburg, South Africa. Black Girls CODE has currently reached over 3000 students and continues to grow and thrive.

ELIANA MURILLO is head of multicultural marketing at Google, Inc. She focuses on cross-product strategy to engage multicultural users and business owners. She founded the US Hispanic business development and community outreach team at Google, and has spearheaded programs that support diversity in entrepreneurship, education, and civic engagement with the use of technology. Eliana currently serves as the chief marketing officer of Tequila Alquimia her family’s award-winning USDA certified 100% organic tequila company. Her family's mission is to influence agricultural practices in Mexico and consumption in the US through sustainable, eco-friendly practices. Eliana is a graduate of Harvard University, where she studied sociology of economics. She also studied international business at the University of Nicosia in Cyprus. She is originally from Oxnard, California.

DELDELP MEDINA is the founder and CEO of Avión Ventures.  We are a Latina focused accelerator for mobile platforms. This unique program is for U.S. born Latinas and Latin-Americans. This program is a combination of in person & virtual curriculum designed to grow the opportunities of Latinas in tech. We are based in San Francisco with resources and mentors available to realize your objectives. She is on the board of Latino Startup Alliance, where she is working to make tech entrepreneurship a priority in the Latino community.

NURIA SANTAMARIA WOLFE leads Twitter’s Multicultural Strategy for the sales organization in the United States. She was selected by Ad Age as a 2014 Women to Watch. Nuria began as a technology and management consultant at Accenture, where she helped clients improve customer experiences through technology. Nuria graduated from Stanford University with degrees in Economics and Spanish.

CAROLINE AVAKIAN is an Emmy-nominated television correspondent, media technologist and award-winning social entrepreneur. Dubbed the “Publicist to the Poor”, she is the Founder of SourceRise, an organization that is forging a new path for foreign and crisis news reporting by increasing the media’s access to on-the-ground expert sources in the developing world.  Caroline is also the Managing Partner of Socialbrite, a leading social media for nonprofits consultancy and digital learning hub that brings together top experts in social causes and social media. Caroline has been featured in The New York Times, Forbes, is a contributor to the Huffington Post and has appeared as a guest on television shows such as CNN, The Today Show, Good Day New York and Univision’s Despierta America. In 2014, she was named a “50 under 40 Emerging Social Enterprise Leader” by American Express and the Social Enterprise Alliance, and received the Boehm Media Fellowship from Opportunity Collaboration.

DR. MONICA FELIU-MOJER (@moefeliu) uses contextually-relevant and experiential-based lessons to make science and scientific role models accessible to underserved audiences. Her bilingual outreach efforts focus on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) topics and opportunities, as well as increasing diversity in science and science communication. In 2013, she received the COPUS Paul Shin Memorial Award for her efforts to increase public understanding of science among Hispanic audiences. Her work has been featured on international media outlets, such as Univisión and VOXXI, among others. Mónica has a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology at the University of Puerto Rico in Bayamón and a Ph.D. in Neurobiology from Harvard University. She is the vice-director and news editor-in-chief of Ciencia Puerto Rico (@CienciaPR), an organization leveraging social networks to engage scientists in science communication and education. Mónica is also Program Manager at iBiology, an organization that engages the world's leading biologists to produce educational open-access videos in topics in biology, science education, policy and beyond. She is the co-founder of Red Comuniciencia (@RComuniciencia), a network of science, health and technology communicators and outreach professionals located in North America with the goal of connecting and amplifying individual communication efforts in order to generate more and better culturally-relevant and accessible content for Spanish-speakers in the United States and beyond.

DAVE MOSBY brings thirty-five years of entrepreneurial accomplishment to aspiring next-generation entrepreneurs through his leadership of Keiretsu Forum Academy. The academy delivers unique programs that equip entrepreneurs to accelerate their access to capital, expertise, and other resources they need to grow their businesses. His track record of innovation (the first large scale web native management application for amateur sports), collaboration (breakthrough license compliance technology with Software Publishers Association – now SIIA) , and business leadership results (led the 25x market cap growth of a public company in 3 years) has prepared him to bring a fresh vision to equipping the ecosystem of entrepreneurs, investors, and innovation centers. Dave is a popular speaker and panelist as well as co-author of the highly acclaimed book, The Paradox of Excellence: How Great Performance Can Kill Your Business. Reviews have appeared in Fast Company, EntrepreneurMagazine, Harvard Business Review, Chicago Tribune, Dallas Morning News and Canada’s Globe and Mail.

JUDITH DUVAL is an entrepreneur and TV personality.  Her namesake company improves the lifestyle of Latinos by educating, inspiring, and motivating them in leadership and wellness through TV, radio, web, workshops, and speaking engagements.  Judith’s career kicked off in Finance (JPMorgan and Citigroup) and Strategy/Business Development (Bain & Co. and Sephora).  It is her passion for the advancement of the Latino community that has led her to her current endeavor as an entrepreneur within the media and wellness industries. Judith was born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She received a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. RUBI SANCHES is the CEO and Co-Founder of Cocoon Cam. She is a UC Berkeley graduate with a background in health care information technology, strategy, operations, and marketing. She is passionate about creating amazing end user experiences and building innovative technologies that bridge gaps in health care. Her company was recently invited to join President Obama for the first ever White House Demo Day.
